Supports to SSP children
Canteen:
All students are getting Tiffin from canteen regularly. They get delicious, cooked Tiffin from here. Mainly cooked Tiffin is focused. In every week Friday they are provided seasonal fruits.
A new large canteen building with store room, kitchen and dining hall having 180 seats capacity above the main school building was finished in January 2007. This new building solves the problem of lacking space, increasing the working performance. Here the students can have Tiffin in monsoon and very cold winter.
Stationery:
All students are provided stationery on the need basis. This year in new method was applied for the stationeries distribution. All the record of stationery given to individual student has been recorded.
Medical:
All scholarship students get bimonthly a general health check up, and get the medicines as the doctor prescribes it. Everyday their personal hygiene is checked while they are in queue for Tiffin having. This measure helps to improve their hygiene habits a lot.
Also this year (2006) a child had a successful heart operation.
Further developments
Expansion of the support with extra classes and integration of the parents into the "Shangrila Trade for Aid" project are further important aims in 2007.
