The work of our Nepalese partner association "Shangri-La"
The "Shangri-La" association was founded by Govinda on 07/06/1998, starting with 7 members. Its main objective is the administration of the orphanage home. The members of this association are all Nepalese citizens, also work honorary and many of them have already been involved in development aid programmes.
The chairmanship was taken by the chairman of the "Shanti-Sewa-Griha leprosy help". In this project an orphanage home and a hospital, for 300 persons, have been built.
At our first visit to Nepal the Nepalese employees and the chairman of this association offered their support for our project. They have been a reliable and confidential partner for the construction of our orphanage home.
The "Shangri-La" association reports to the local social ministry and a lawyer. They also regularly send financial reports, which we also receive. So we are always informed about the financial situation.
